Folk Lute -
Morocco

Purchased in
Marrakech, Morocco, 1967

From
Graciela's Notes
The instrument is strummed and
is a native type of guitar. The body is made of
leather and the fingerboard is decorated with brass
bands. The three strings are made of silk thread and
are strummed lightly when played. I purchased it
during one of the several trips I made to Marrakech,
Morocco while I was living in Spain. This instrument
was bought at the Bazaar in Marrakech, Morocco in
December 1967.
