Banjo - England

Purchased in London, England, 1977

From Graciela's Notes

This small banjo is made and played like the bigger version - the tenor banjo. To play the banjo (any banjo), you use a finger pick. To tighten or stretchen the skin, you use a special key to turn the metal bands around the wooden frame. I bought this banjo at an antique shop in London, England during one of my Thanksgiving visits there, November 1977. It is made by: John Grem and Sons of London.
