Harp -
Ram's Horn

Purchased in
Souk in Luxor, Egypt, 1988

from
Graciela's Notes
This instrument has an
interesting shape and makes it more original with a
ram’s horn neck. The strings are attached to five
tuning pegs. The instrument caught my attention
because of its unique shape. The man who made it
agreed to sell it to me after much discussion.
Thanks to the guide, who interpreted for me, finally
made the "deal" and I was happy, happy. This
happened at the Souk in Luxor, Egypt during my visit
there in April 1988.
