This rectangular harp with a
semi-circled top body is a typical arched African
harp. They come in various sizes and the bodies
are in various shapes. It is made of a gourd
covered with cowhide and has two sound holes. The
seven strings are attached to the neck to pegs
that are used to tune the instrument. Bought in
Kampala, Uganda, Africa while on a Safari to that
country in December 1964.
