Purchased in Kampala, Uganda, 1964

From Graciela's Notes

This rectangular harp with a semi-circled top body is a typical arched African harp. They come in various sizes and the bodies are in various shapes. It is made of a gourd covered with cowhide and has two sound holes. The seven strings are attached to the neck to pegs that are used to tune the instrument. Bought in Kampala, Uganda, Africa while on a Safari to that country in December 1964.
