Gutierrez World Instrument Collection Online

Welcome to GWICO!  This is a virtual museum of the world instrument collection now housed and displayed in the OLLU Music Department.  The collection was bequeathed to the University by alumnae Graciela Gutierrez upon her death in 2001.  It is comprised of over 150 instruments from the 96 countries that Graciela visited during her travels.  She was an intrepid traveler all of her life and was inspired to collect instruments wherever she went, from Morocco to Japan.  This site is intended to honor her life and work as well as make the collection available to those who can learn from it.
