Konzert Violin Zither

This beautiful antique Konzert Violin Zither was made by Hopf’s Jubelklange in Austria.  It is plucked as well as bowed.  Unfortunately I have not been able to find out much about the history of the instrument nor how it is played.  I bought the instrument in an antique shop in Vienna, Austria sometime in 1963.  I made two or three trips to Austria yearly during the 6 years I spent in Mainz, Germany.  I heard the Konzert Violin Zither played only once during my visits there.
