Membranophone - Goblet drum

From
Graciela's Notes
Goblet drums get their name from their shape.
Sometimes they are also called Tabla. The "goblet" is made of
pottery, wood or even a light metal. They come in various sizes.
Some are colorfully decorated and some are just plain, but,
however you see them they are very popular in the Arab
countries. The drum is struck in the center and on the edges of
the skin with both hands. They are used to accompany singers and
dancers of traditional music.
